The (OWWA) Overseas Workers Welfare Administration is now accepting online scholarship applications for its deserving students, qualified dependents, and family members of (OFWs) Overseas Filipino Workers.

What is the OWWA Scholarship program?
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Scholarship helps to support educational funds for the eligible and dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
Types of OWWA Scholarships?
- Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
- OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)
- Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP)
Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
EDSP CATEGORY 1 (Incoming 1st year College)
Who can apply?
- Must be a child of an active OWWA Member; or a sibling of a single or married but childless active OWWA member.
- Must not have any active OWWA scholarship program by other members of the OFW family.
- Applicant must be single
- Must not be more than 21 years of old.
- Must be Grade 12 graduating student.
- Must have a GWA of at least 80% or its equivalent.
EDSP Category 2 (Already enrolled in 2nd to 5th year in college)
Who can apply?
- Must be a child of an active OWWA member or a sibling of a single or married but childless active OWWA member.
- Must not have any active OWWA scholarship program by other members of the OFW family.
- Must be single
- Not more than 30 years old
- Must have no failing grades
- Must have a GWA of at least 85% or its equivalent.
- Must be enrolled in a Philippines-based college or university.
OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)
ODSP Category 1 (Incoming 1st Year College)
Who can Apply?
- Must be an Active member of an OFW child or a sibling.
- Must be single
- Must not be more than 21 years old
- Must have a passing GWA form previous school year.
- Must have a monthly OFW income of USD 1,000.00 or its equivalent.
- Must not have any active OWWA scholarship program by other members of the OFW family.
ODSP Category 2 (Already enrolled in 2nd year to 5th year in college)
Who can Apply?
- Must be a child or sibling of an OFW Active member.
- Must be single
- Must not be more than 30 years old.
- Must have a passing GWA form previous school year.
- Must be enrolled in a Philippines-based college or university.
Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP)
Who can Apply?
- Must be deserving migrant workers and active OFWs (Who are not be more than 45 years old. )
- Children of active or inactive OFWs who are below 21 years old.
- GWA of 80% without failing grades
- Annual Family gross income of $2,400 or P76,000.00
- The Alternative Learning System passers under the Continuing Education Program – Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) with an average of 85% or its equivalent as certified the DepEd Accredited Schools.

What are the Benefits?
- Scholarship Benefits under EDSP: P60,000 per year until the completion of a 4 -to 5-year baccalaureate course.
- Scholarship Benefits under ODSP: P20,000 per year who enrolled in any 4 or 5 year course in any Philippine-based college or university.
- Benefits under CMWSP: Maximum benefits of P60,000 per year to deserving migrant workers.
Documentary Requirements
To apply for the OWWA Scholarship program, submit the following documents:
- Copy of a valid OFW Passport Bio or Info Page.
- 2×2 ID picture with white background.
- Valid School ID or any available valid ID
- Birth certificate or Baptismal
- Proof of grades from the previous school year
- Form 137 or Form 10 [TOR] Form 138 or Report Card or Certificate of Grades form the school.
- OFW copy of valid OFW Passport Bio or info page
Application Deadline:
- EDSP Category 1 & CMWSP: September 7–17, 2026
- EDSP Category 2 & ODSP: September 7–27, 2026
